Rarely does she make public appearances unlike her firebrand husband, Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino who's no stranger to controversy.
On Tuesday she made that rare appearance at Donholm Primary School where she engaged women with her husband on table banking.
In a video shared by Babu on his social media pages, Fridah Muthoni, decked out in a grey trench coat, is seen addressing women.
She revealed how, sometimes, her husband gets angry with contractors over delayed projects.
"I am with him in the house and I see how he gets angry with contractors, asking them to fast-track projects. He loves you and is committed to working for you, " she says in Swahili.
Fridah encouraged women in Embakasi East to take table banking seriously in order to turn around their economic fortunes.
In a social media post, Babu revealed that the meeting with women was centred around the empowerment of women.
"Women will be the driving force of development in Embakasi. My wife Fridah Muthoni Ongili and I had an engaging round table discussion with the women of Upper Savannah today at Donholm Primary School. Top on the agenda was Table Banking popularly known as “merry go rounds."
"We discussed ways and means of empowering our mothers, wives, sisters and daughters by enhancing table banking in the constituency to ensure more women are reached and in greater more meaningful ways, " Babu's post read in part.
