There was drama on Thurday in Bokoma village, Kisii South in Kisii County after an angered woman descended on her husband with kicks and blows accusing him for allegedly seducing a widowed woman.
Witnesses said trouble started when Zipporah Nyansiaboka found her husband Charles Ayienda in a compromising situation with a widowed woman Florence Bonareri.
"Nyansiaboka was driving the family cow to the river to drink water when she found Ayienda standing close to Bonareri. She abandoned the cow and chased after Bonareri in vain before she returned for her husband and beat him up," said a witness Elvis Oigo.
Area administrator Edward Moenda said Bonareri fled immediately she saw Nyansiaboka.
"This is not the first time Nyansiaboka clobbered her husband because of Bonareri. She beat him helplessly as members of the public watched the free wrestling match," said Moenda.
He challenged men to be faithful in marriage.
"My appeal to women is that they should be faithful to their wives. Chasing widowed women for love and sex will break families," he stated.
The chief also urged women to stop being violent on their husbands.
