After the said 'kicking out' of Gusii governors, James Ongwae and John Nyagarama, a section of legislators from Gusii region have reacted angrily towards the ousting of the Gusii leaders.
Speaking during the harambee at Riatuya Seventh Day Adventist Church on Saturday, the MP of North Mogirango Constituency, Joash Nyamoko spoke angrily about the Gusii leaders.
He asked the Kisii Community to team up and chat a way forward for the region. He also requested other leaders to hold hands to help the residents know their course.
"We need to sit down and chat away forward as Gusii community. When we follow them to the other side of the country and they send us away, shows that we do not know how we should work together. My request is, let us team up under Governors James Ongwae and John Nyagarama to help us determine our course," Nyamoko said.
As recorded by a local FM station on Saturday, Nyamira County women representative Jerusha Momanyi also condemned the act saying it is an opportunity for Gusii legislators to know where the community is headed.
"As Gusii leaders we should also show our direction so that as a community we can know our direction. I will move from one ward to another as from January to ensure women have given out views on projects to set and what to add on previous projects," the women rep said.
