The two vocal leaders were appearing together on a live interview at Citizen TV on Tuesday night.

On several instances, the Jubilee legislators exchanged bitter words over the maize issue that would later spill into personal attacks.

At one point, the Senate Majority leader asked Kutuny to stop attacking Deputy President William Ruto whom he said had helped the youthful MP into politics from being a charcoal dealer.

"The thermometer for sycophancy is you Kutuny. The Deputy President picked you from the bush where you were selling charcoal and made you Member of Parliament," Murkomen told Kutuny who was first elected into parliament in 2007 before losing in 2013 to athlete Wesley Korir.

Kutuny who reclaimed back the seat in last years' poll, however, hit back at the Senator and revealed that he had helped him during his campaigns for the Senatorial seat.

"I picked you in the streets and took you to parliament. I used to give you money every week; my wife used to support you. Even the car you used to campaign - Harrier - was mine, I gave you," the MP revealed.

Kutuny has of late been a fierce critic of DP Ruto whom he recently accused of being behind the endless woes maize farmers are going through.
