Former Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant Zezekiah Kiprop Bundotich alias Buzeki was on Wednesday part of a closed-door meeting that brought together a group of politicians from the Rift Valley region.
Majority of the politicians who attended the meeting in Nairobi are perceived to be against Deputy President Wiliam Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.
However, it is not clear who the convener of the meeting was.
Among those present in the meeting include former Bomet governor Isaac Ruto, Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny and his Moiben counterpart Silas Tiren.
Kutuny and Tiren have been fierce critics of DP Ruto.
The former Bomet governor fell out with his namesake in the run-up to the 2017 polls but have since reconciled.
Although none of the leaders took to any of their social media platforms to share details of the meeting, their photos have been doing rounds on social media, eliciting mixed reactions.
What was discussed in the meeting remains a secret only to those who attended.
What remains unanswered is, what was the agenda of the meeting? Who was the organizer? Did the 2022 politics take centre stage in their discussions? Is this a group of politicians against DP Ruto?
Only time will tell.
