Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has hailed Kenya's football team, Harambee Stars, following its thrilling performance ahead of the Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON).
During a match played at Kasarani Spors Stadium in Nairobi, Harambee Stars beat Ethiopia 3-0, a move that saw the team congratulated from all quarters.
Several leaders led by Deputy President William Ruto, Kalonzo Musyoka, Nick Mwendwa, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, among others were present at Kasarani to cheer the team.
Joho's administration also sent several vehicles full of spectators to cheer Harambee Stars on Sunday.

"I wish to join all Kenyans in congratulating Harambee Stars for the sterling performance today at the Kasarani Stadium against Ethiopia in the African Cup of Nations Second Qualifier.
I also wish to thank the thousands of fans who were at Kasarani to cheer on the boys.
This victory goes a long way in restoring our faith in Kenyan football.
I wish them all the best in their AFCON journey."
