For the first time since the unfortunate Friday incident, Mandera Woman Representative Amina Gedow Hassan has broken her silence, giving more details on the Friday night robbery attack.
In a social media statement, Gedow confirmed that the incident was a robbery attack involving two robbers along Haile SellasieSellasie Avenue.
However, she was lucky to escape with minor injuries and she is now in a stable condition.
"Regarding the incident that happened to me on Friday evening, in which different narratives were spread, I hereby confirm to you all that it was a robbery attack that happened as I was driving along Haile Sellasie Avenue towards Uhuru Highway in the company of my sister and a brother when two robbers attacked us in the middle of a traffic jam," she revealed.
Contrary to earlier reports that were in circulation in social media that she was in critical condition, the vocal politician further maintained that she was doing fine and was never in such a state.
"I was not seriously injured as was reported.... I am safe and sound and not on a critical situation," her statement further read.
Amina Gedow's statement is now expected to quell the widespread speculation that claimed she was in a critical condition in one of the city hospitals.
