Mang’u High School student leader on Saturday won the hearts of many after he made a very confident presentation in front of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Referring to himself as the future president, the young man left President Kenyatta and other high profile guests stunned as he gave a speech and asked the head of state to help the school acquire a bus.
“Mr President, we are happy you are here today and as the Future President, I am also happy to engage you today,” he said amid laughter from the guests.
He continued and asked the head of state to buy Mang’u a school bus which should be a 72-seater bus Scania make.
While presenting his request, he did so confidently in a voice that commanded authority from those available.
When Uhuru made his speech, he admitted that he had no option but to honour the requests.
“Mr future president I have heard you. I have heard that this school wants a bus, and for the first time, I have been told it must be a Scania, and a 72-seater, Ngai! Anyway, that one I give it to you,” Uhuru said as guests burst into stitches.
The President and other guests were in the school for a prize giving day.
