Kibera MP Ken Okoth had called for arrest of alleged rogue doctor Mugo Ndichu Wa Wirumu after an exposé by a local TV station alleging that he operates fake clinics in Nairobi.
The MP wants the government to swiftly arrest the fake doctor and arraign him in court.
The lawmaker says that the rogue doctor deserves to be behind bars.
“The relevant state agencies should swing into action and have the rogue doctor arrested and charged in court,” he said.
The MP said that safety of city women and girls is at threat if the rogue doctor is not arrested.
An exposé by a local TV station has revealed that the rogue doctor has shifted from Githruai to Kayole and is still operating fake clinics.
Detectives from flying squad are said to be hunting the rogue doctor to answer to allegations being leveled against him.
In 2015, Mugo Wa Wairimu was arrested and charged with operating fake clinics in Githurai.
He was also charged with illegally procuring abortions and assaulting his female patients.
The case collapsed in 2016 after some witnesses allegedly shied away from giving testimonies against him in court.
