Prostitution is on the rise in Nakuru, as is the case in most other urban centers across the country.
In this lakeside town, however, the twilight girls can be classified into three types.
1. Professionals
This is the serious type which includes focused ladies who take their job as seriously as you take your daily hustle.
This type solely depends on the flesh-peddling business. They pay all their bills with this hustle.
They are clean and wait at brothels which disguise as guesthouses.
Usually, their clients are high-end guys like teachers, celebs among others.
2. Hopeless fellows
These are people who are in the business not because they chose it, but because they have to and have been pushed to the corner by circumstances.
They usually appear dirty, drunk, weak and 'lost'. They are the cheapest hookers in town.
Unlike their counterparts who operate from sex dens and around accommodation facilities, they operate from pubs and seedy keg joints frequented by low-income earners.
3. Multitasks
These are mostly people who engage in sex work just to earn some extra income or attach themselves to clients for special reasons.
In Nakuru, for instance, they include barmaids who only accept to bed a man for financial gains.
They are opportunists who also give in with the aim of robbing the clients after spiking their drinks.
