Growing up in an informal settlement is a nightmare. Life is extremely hard and villagers have a right to say they live better than most young men in slums across African cities.

In this environment, dreaming about making millions and driving the heaviest automobiles is a far-fetched desire. One only thinks about basic needs and at times education and medical care is not among the necessities.

However, informal settlements have millionaires who motivate the youths from this environment. Here are some of them:

1.Octopizzo

When you talk about grass to grace then Octopizzo understands this phrase better. He’s Kibera’s rap king, has motivated several youths, and loves his slum roots. He even praises his hood in his catchy lyrics. Judging from his cars, tours and fashion taste, Octo is a young millionaire.

2. Khaligraph

Kayole is associated with gangs that rob regardless of the time of the day. However, Papa Jones has redefined Kayole. He has made millions despite growing in this ghetto. He praises it in his songs wherever an opportunity arises to include it in his Americanized accent. He owns a recent vertsion of range rover and this is enough proof that he is a millionaire.

3. Huddah Monroe

This businesswoman and celebrated socialite is a surprise inclusion but has confessed that her roots are deep in slums.

She once said, “Deep down in the slums. I shop everywhere FYI. Slums remind me a lot and as much as it’s important to remember where you want to go, it’s also important to remember where you came from and Never look down on anybody unless you are helping them up.”
