Former Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando insists that the alliance between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga will shape the country's politics.
The two leaders reconciled in March 2018 and they have been rallying behind each other contrary to expectations of many leaders.
According to Kabando, the unity between the duo will crush corruption besides getting rid of impunity in the country.
“UhuruRao is an insurmountable mission to unite Kenya and crash corruption and impunity,” he told the Star in a scathing attack on Ruto.
The former legislator insisted that the union, which would be cemented by the Building Bridges Initiative report, would give Kenya a new dimension.
“BBI is an enduring bridge to reconciliation and national prosperity. This is a dream for a new Kenya. It goes beyond any one region.”
Murang'a Senator Irungu Kang'ata also said that there are calls to have Mr Odinga embraced in Central Kenya, the home turf of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“There is that push to have the region embrace Raila. There are moves towards that but you know the President has not told us officially on what to do. We wait to see if that would crystallise,” the Senate Deputy Majority Whip said.
During his tour to Mt Kenya on Friday, President Uhuru Kenyatta said his partnership with Odinga has nothing to do with 2022 polls.
Raila has maintained that he's only keen to fix Kenya's problems, leaving many of his opponents guessing about his 2022 plans.
