A section of Homabay Members of County Assembly (MCAs) are now accusing assembly speaker Elizabeth Ayoo of insincerity.
The group has laughed off the embattled speaker's claims that unknown people on Thursday broke into her office and sprayed it with chocking substance.
Speaking on Friday, the group led by acting speaker Evans Marieba and house Majority Leader Walter Muok now want the speaker investigated over the incident.
The group said that the attack might have been stage managed by the speaker as she seeks sympathy from the public for personal and political benefits.
“We suspect Ayoo is behind the vandalism. The police should investigate her over the incident,” Marieba is quoted by the Standard.
Ayoo said that three plastic chairs were also broken by the goons during the break-in that comes shortly after an initial vandalism in the office.
This comes amid an ongoing row between the team, and the other allied to the speaker, barely a month after the opposing team impeached the speaker.
She has, however, since been reinstated by a Kisumu Court.
Other MCAs who accompanied the two include Dan Were (Kakelo Kakwanyo), Jeff Ongoro (Kanyaluo) and Julius Gaya (Central Karachuonyo).
