With area Governor John Nyagarama absent, leaders were seemingly divided on the service delivery with former Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire accusing the current crop of leaders of incompetence.

"There is no project that one can show us in the last five years. Corruption and nepotism is our undoing. Most of these leaders say nothing about the gross incompetence we are seeing."

The remarks elicited sharp reactions with Borabu MP Ben Momanyi accusing Bosire of unfairly targeting him for political reasons.

"It's untrue to say that we are doing little. We have persistently engaged the county government. We are all pushing for service delivery maybe the outcome is not yet viable," he told off Bosire.

But Kiogoro MCA caused a stir when he suggested that Nyamira be dissolved to be Kisii's Sub County, remarks that have not gone well with county government of Nyamira.

He said: "It's pointless to have Nyamira as a county. This should be a Sub County of Kisii. You can't concentrate on fighting all the time with little to offer."

Mr Bosire also accused MPs of taking bribes from the county government to defend the system. According to him, Governor Nyagarama has silenced their voices through bribes for two years now.

For North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko, Bosire's research is not guided with facts, adding that it's the assembly which had failed to put the executive on check.
