Residents of Kariobangi estate are up in arms lamenting to Nairobi governor Mike Sonko over neglect.
The residents said that the governor had neglected them in his projects to improve infrastructure, arguing that the governor was concentrating on other areas where he received more votes.
"The governor is concentrating on those sides of Jogoo Road and forgetting us. I think it is because he received more votes from his former Makadara constituency and now he is returning the hand," said Willy Akomo, a seller of sugarcane at Kariobangi Raunda.
Recently, motorists have been calling upon the governor to repair the poor roads in the area.
Some of the residents have even opted to use the Thika SUperhighway instead of the usual Juja Road to town.
