Speaking on Friday in Mombasa during a roundtable brief with the media, Uhuru distanced himself from the claims stating that those speaking on the MoU are speaking on their own personal behalf.

"Those talking about the MoU are talking on their behalf, as far as I am concerned we have our party and we will have our plans later on, like the other will have their plans," said Uhuru.

The Head of State maintained that he will not focus on 2022 politics until he achieves his agenda.

"But first we must prepare the country according to how we have started discussions with my brother Raila to ensure that no more Kenyans shade blood because of politics, that is my vision now and those who want to chase after elections, let them go am not among them," he added.

Murathe has attracted media attention after claiming that DP Ruto should not expect any backing from Jubilee in 2022.

Speaking on Wednesday last week, Murathe said Uhuru and Ruto had already led the government for two terms and should both retire.
