Political analyst George Kithi has claimed that the forthcoming 2022 presidential election will revolve around Deputy President William Ruto and opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking on KBC English Service early Wednesday, the lawyer noted that the victory will be carried by one of the two leader.
He, therefore, rubbished any separate declarations, including that of Baringo Senator Gideon Moi who is also apparently keen on filling the seat.
Kithi, however, advised the lawmaker to participate in the race anyway, as a way of building his profile to enhance his future eligibility.
‘’Gideon should first concentrate on building his profile. He is welcome in the race like any other person, but this will at the end be between Ruto and Raila,’’ he said.
The remarks were echoed by fellow panelist and High Court Advocate Ambrose Weda, who added that Moi’s participation will be sponsored.
He, however, claimed that his candidature will be more aimed at complicating the race than winning the elections.
‘’Moi could be introduced into the election the way Uhuru was introduced some years back, but he still has time and could end up winning it in the future,’’ said the former SONY Sugar Chair.
Raila has, however, remained mum on his 2022 plans.
