Men in modern times have taken up the very unfortunate reputation of being 'natural cheaters.' They seem to like and temporarily fall for whoever looks good to them. It may later hit them that they made a mistake but by then, the damage is already done. Ladies usually find this very unbecoming and would rather not hear about it.
Usually, ladies believe that it is the side chick who is in the wrong for dating the man. As such, they resort to hating the side chick more than their men. To a lady, there was collusion even if the man made the first move.

1. Women expect their men to change
Because he is cheating does not really mean it will be that way for all eternity. He will change, somehow. The problem, therefore, lies with the side chick. She is taken as the scapegoat for everything that happens. Ladies tend to believe that it is because of the side chick that the man does not really change. As such, they constantly wish she just could cease existing.
2. It's easier to hate someone you do not know
The lady involved in the cheating could not be well known to the real owner of the man and therefore, there is that tendency to just hate them, with a passion. Even if there is a breakup, the lady involved in the cheating will be the one to carry all sins.
3. Girls are constantly pitted against each other
It is almost a natural thing. A girl would rather take on the side chick for stealing the man than reprimanding him for taking that route. Girls like the petty fights between themselves and when they start, it could last years and sometimes to death.
