Maseno School in Kisumu County has produced the second best student in the 2018 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) nationally.

According to the results released today by Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Amina Mohammed, James Kaluna of Maseno School was the second best student nationally.

Juliet Otieno of Pangani Girls Nairobi was the best student, with an A Plain mean grade of 87.66.

Humphrey Rasugu and Joshua Ochieng of Maseno School were also in the top 20 best candidates in the country.

The CS said that the number of students who got A plain this year rose to 315 as compared to only 142 last year.

This year, 90, 377 students got between A plain and C+ compared to 70, 073 last year.

To access the results, candidates will be required to send a text with their index number to 20076.
