The newly created Jarajila and Liboi Sub counties are set to get their permanent staff in the coming weeks.
This is after Governor Ali Korane made an appeal to Deputy President William Ruto on Friday during his visit to Fafi constituency for a funds drive.
On his part, the deputy president promised to make a follow up on the issue, calling on the locals to support the new staff members that will be posted in the two sub-counties.
"There is this request your governor has made. I promise to make a follow up on the issue and in the coming few weeks you will see those people here. And when we post them, please give them your support," DP Ruto stated.
Other leaders who spoke during the funds drive called on the government to immediately open up the Kenya -Somali border, while advocating for the release of Identification Cards (IDs) for all Kenyan youths captured in the refugee Database.
Local politicians who accompanied DP Ruto in the Friday visit included the Garissa Township MP Aden Duale, MP Hon Mohamed Dahiye, Nominated Senator Falhado Dekow among many others.
