In a post on his official Facebook page on Friday, Sudi claimed: "some politicians have been circumventing about the issue and are now dragging names of innocent people into the case".

The MP who is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto insisted that all the drug barons not only linked to the Akasha brothers case should be brought to book.

“I have always been consistent in condemning illegal drug business that has seen Kenyan youths lose way due to addiction and other effects of the drug. It has always been my prayer that drug barons are brought to book,” reads part of the two-time MPs’ Facebook post.

“The names of those who conspired with Akasha brothers should be made public since Kenyans have a right to access information especially if the culprits are public servants,” added the MP in the post.

The Akasha brothers recently pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges in New York.

It is reported that several high profile politicians in the country among them a Cabinet Secretary, a governor and an outspoken MP from the Rift Valley are being investigated by US Department of Justice over their links to the Akashas.
