A week after humiliation in Homa Bay gubernatorial petition, Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo secured a major victory at Appeals Court on Thursday.
In a case challenging election of South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro, the ODM lawyer bagged an important win thus saving the young legislator from a possible by-election.
"Happy I have successively represented my colleague Sylvanus Osoro in the Court of Appeal which just upheld his election. Congratulations," he tweeted.
In Homa Bay, Otiende along with James Orengo failed to save Govenor Cyprian Awiti from facing a by-election.
Osoro, a first time KNC legislator, is among top strategists of Deputy President William Ruto in both Kisii and Nyamira Counties.
"I thank God that through Counsel Amollo, I will now serve my people. It is such a memorable victory," he said.
The former Ombudsman put his mark at the national level when he represented Raila Odinga successfully in Supreme Court in 2017.
