Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday evening visited Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso who is hospitalised in a London hospital.
Mr Odinga, who is a week-long tour in Europe, was accompanied by Kenya High Commissioner to London Monoah Esipisu, who at one point served as State House spokesperson.
It could not be immediately established when Dr Laboso was hospitalised and her exact ailment. She is see in a hospital bed with Raila and Esipisu sitting in the room.
"In London, H.E @RailaOdinga accompanied by Kenya’s High Commissioner to the U.K @MEsipisu visited Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso who is recovering at a local hospital. They wished the Governor a quick recovery," NASA coalition tweeted.
Laboso beat former NASA principal Isaac Ruto in 2017 polls on a Jubilee ticket. She is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto from Rift Valley region.
At first, Dr Laboso was elected on an ODM ticket to represent Sotik constituency in 2008 after the death of her sister, Lorna Laboso. She was then teaching at Egerton University.
And after the visit, Mr Odinga also met Sierra Leone President Julius Maada also in London. They discussed trade and infrastructural development in Africa.
"Held talks in London with the President of Sierra Leone H.E Julius Maada Bio that centered around issues of trade and infrastructure ties among African nations," he tweeted.
Mr Odinga is set to leave London for St Petersburg in Russia on Thursday where he's a key guest in energy conference hosted by Russian government.
