Ndeti who unsuccessfully contested the Machakos gubernatorial seat twice in 2013 and 2017, claims that Mutua’s candidature is a ploy to spoil for Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Ndeti said the Maendeleo Chap Chap governor does not have the numbers and stamina to contest the presidency.

The former lawmaker said Mutua will not manage any votes in the 2022 presidential election.

“Governor Mutua is not a serious candidate and he is only contesting to make sure that Kalonzo does not become president in 2022," Ndeti said.

She spoke during a live interview on Milele FM on Thursday.

Ndeti said Mutua’s bid is a waste of time, asserting that Kalonzo is the ordained Kamba presidential candidate in 2022.

She said Ukambani is fully behind Kalonzo exuding confidence that the former Vice President will clinch the seat.

Ndeti urged like-minded politicians across the country to support Kalonzo’s candidature, noting that his leadership is what the country needs for development.

Both Kalonzo and Mutua have declared their interests to contest the presidency in 2022.

The duo has maintained that they have what it takes to ascend to power.

Some Ukambani politicians are, however, piling pressure on Mutua to step down for Kalonzo.

Mutua has equally maintained that his name will be on the presidential ballot in 2022.
