Speaking to the press in Eldoret town on Wednesday, Bini said it was unfortunate that the fight against corruption had been politicized.

“As religious leaders, we are not happy when politicians attack each other in the name of fighting corruption. This should stop so that we allow relevant bodies to do their job,” said Bini.

“Finger pointing and name calling among politicians is not right, if it will remain untamed it will raise political temperatures in the country thus leading to trial animosity," he added.

The CIPK chair further called on the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) not to engage in talks with politicians who have been claiming that the agencies are targeting certain individuals in the fight.

He further called on the government to create a commission that will move around the country informing the public on corruption-related issues and its dangers noting that a majority are not aware of the effects graft causes.

Bini also proposed the Ministry of Education to introduce a syllabus on corruption that should be taught in all learning institutions from primary school to universities.
