However, that was not the case for one man in Rongo on Sunday after he failed to control his rage, and quickly made up a decision of attacking an officer.

The attacker, Joshua Odhiambo was shot and is currently nursing bullet wounds. 

He attacked an armed police officer after a confrontation at Kitunja village in Rongo constituency.

Reports indicate that Odhiambo attacked the officer after he caught him stealing sugarcane from a tractor. 

Confirming the incident, Migori County Police Commander Joseph Nthenge said police acted in retaliation after the suspect attacked one officer with a panga. 

“The police department exists to offer security and anybody who will curtail this very role will face the full force of the law especially those who have little respect for our men in uniform,” the police boss was quoted by Citizen Digital.

He said the matter is under investigation insisting that necessary action will be taken against the suspect.
