Speaking in Kikuyu, a visibly angry Uhuru said that he would not be stopped from taking the country in the direction he wanted to take it.

"These thugs we have voted for called politicians, they should not think that I am their kid. They will not stop me on this path that I have made for myself. They keep moving around thinking...they never gave me votes, I am the one who helped them get votes (Mikora eno tuthureete tereeta siasa matigeciirie nie di kihii kiao. Matikodogamia farafara iria nie di dhodekerie iria dereda gukinya na korea dereda gutuara adu aitu. Ati mature goko mathiororokaga mareciiria... Nie diheirwo kura neo, ni nie dimashareirie kura)" the President fumed amid cheers.

Uhuru also vowed to deliver on the mandate that he was given by Kenyans who voted for him in 2013 and 2017 and promised to ensure that there is peace in the country.

"I want peace and I will look for peace for my people everywhere I go. (Nie dereda thayo na nigoshareria adu aitu thayo kuria kwothe nguthie)," he noted.

Uhuru's strong remarks come amid a tussle between the Kieleweke and the Tanga Tanga groups that have been trading harsh words in recent days.
