Harambee Stars head coach, Sébastien Migné has named his 30-man provisional squad that will be trimmed down to 23 men for the Egypt AFCON 2019 tournament.
The tournament is set to kick off in June, where Kenya has been grouped against Senegal, Algeria and Tanzania.
Here is the 30-man provisional squad for the 2019 AFCON:
Goalkeepers:
Patrick Matasi, Farouk Shikhalo, John Oyemba, Brian Bwire.
Defenders:
David Owino,Brian Mandela, Musa Mohamed, Bernard Ochieng, Joseph Okumu, Joash Onyango, Erick Ouma, Philemon Otieno and Aboud Omar.
Midfielders :
Victor Wanyama, Ismael Gonzalez, Anthony Akumu, Dennis Odhiambo, Johanna Omollo, Francis Kahata, Paul Were, Eric Johanna, Clifton Miheso, Ovella Ochieng, and Ayub Timbe.
Forwards:
Michael Olunga, Masoud Juma, Christopher Mbamba, John Avire, Allan Wanga, and Whyvhonne Isuza.
The squad has elicited a lot of reactions online, specially after prolific Zesco United striker Jesse Were was left out despite being in top form.
