Kabazi MCA Peter Mbae and eight others have been freed on Sh200,000 bond each in incitement case following the chaos that was witnessed on Wednesday.
The court has, however, barred the politician from holding public meetings in his ward.
The nine have also been ordered to report weekly to Rongai DCI every week.
The suspects were arrested on Wednesday during a meeting where Patel dam victims were to meet officials of the Kenya Human Rights Commission.
The meeting, however, degenerated into chaos after police declared it illegal.
They lobbed teargas to those attending ensuing into running battles between officers and the residents.
The suspects appeared principal magistrate Yvonne Khatambi, the prosecution told the court the suspects caused mayhem and chaos in Solai on Wednesday where they 'possibly used firearms'.
