According to the senator, Tuju's discomfort was occasioned by being torn between advancing his political ambitions and sustaining the unity of the party.

In an interview with Citizen TV shared on Facebook, Murkomen noted that Jubilee was a political party whose interests, policies and principles were more important than individuals in it.

"Jubilee party is a strong party and it is bigger than its officials. It must be remembered that we have a huge following and I can say that it is very strong and united," noted the Senate Leader of Majority.

He further alleged that things seemed not to go well with the secretary general of the party because he had personal political objectives which clashed with unification and tough political commitment that Jubilee needed.

"The Secretary-General finds himself in a very complicated situation in the sense that, he has to balance between his personal interests as a politician and the desire to ensure the party remains strong and balancing future competition from the party," Murkomen said.

The vocal legislator who is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto downplayed any discussion concerning the management of the party, arguing that it would not be appropriate.
