Garissa Governor Ali Korane's name has hit headlines in the recent months over his academic qualifications.
Korane has also been on the spot over the attempted assassination of former Garissa Finance CEC Idriss Muktar.
The Garissa governor was grilled by detectives over the attempted murder and has denied any involvement.
The EACC is said to be probing the Jubilee governor over claims that he used a fake Master's Degree for clearance in the August 8, 2017 election.
Korane has, however, denied owning a Masters Degree from the University of Nairobi (UoN).
As the debate on the governor's academic qualifications rages on, here is a look at his qualifications.
1. Bachelor's Degree- International studies
Korane has a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies from George Washington University (USA).
2. Master's Degree- International studies
The Jubilee governor also has a Masters Degree in International Studies and Diplomacy from George Washington University.
3. Master's Degree- Leadership
Korane has also a Masters Degree in Leadership and Management from the University of Leicester United Kingdom).
4. MBA- Strategic Management
The embattled governor is currently studying an MBA in strategic management at the University of Nairobi.
Political analysts argue that Korane’s political career could be tainted if allegations of fake academic papers are proved.
Analysts also argue that Korane’s leadership could be tainted by the fact he has been grilled in the attempted murder of Muktar.
