The two have been on the spotlight lately over their closeness to Deputy President and Raila's chief political nemesis William Ruto.

Dori on Wednesday led a group of parliamentarians from the Coast to meet the party leader Raila Odinga at his offices in Nairobi.

According to Citizen Digital, he made a U-turn, confirming that he remains a steadfast member of the Orange Party.

“We assure you that we are available for regular consultations with and guidance by the party. As you may have noticed, we have slowed down on 2022 campaigns as you had advised and we remain committed to actions that strengthen rather than weaken the party,”  he said according to a statement from ODM to media houses.

On his part, Raila assured Dori and a group of Members of County Assembly also scheduled to face the National Executive Council at a later date of fair hearing.

This comes amid a looming ouster of the group after the party disciplinary committee on Tuesday proposed their expulsion on the bases of indiscipline.

The two have also been seen openly endorsing Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.

Dori was accompanied by his Kilifi North counterpart Owen Baya and Kisauni legislator Ali Mbogo of the Wiper party.
