Leaders have started reacting to the death of Duale's sister who succumbed to a long battle with cancer.

Leading that charge is the Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi who sent out his condolences to the Garissa Township Member of Parliament.

"My heartfelt condolences to the family of the Leader of the Majority Party @HonAdenDuale following the demise of his elder sister, Ms. Arfon Bare Duale, after a long battle with cancer. May Allah grant her Jannah, and keep her family strong," the speaker said.

Busia Women Rep Florence Mutua also sent her condolences in a tweet.

"Sincere condolences Hon Duale. May God comfort the family at this very difficult time. May her soul rest in eternal peace," she tweeted.
