Speaking on a podcast, Adelle revealed that she handed in the notice for her resignation on December 27 last year. She, however, renegotiated her contract at the beginning of this year to make her career more exciting.

“December 27th I resigned. I wanted to start the new year on a clean sheet. This is the year I turn 30 and 30 is the year that you do things that you are scared of. But of course, I had to serve my notice which was three months. So January, February and March I was serving my notice in between which I renegotiated my contract to make I a bit more exciting,” Adelle stated.

However, things did not work out as planned hence making her resign last Friday so as to continue with her initial plan. According to the radio girl, she wanted to do something that impacted the community.

“After nine years on radio, two of which were at One FM, I just felt like I can’t be doing the same thing. Like I needed a change. I wanted to have more impact on the community in working with women and youths,” said Adelle.

She, nonetheless, does not regret her decision as she had prepared and even saved before quitting.

Adelle hosted her last show on Friday last week.
