Mutua says he is keen on succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking at the Supreme Court grounds on Friday after winning the appeal, Mutua said he will popularize his presidential bid to Kenyans.

The governor said he is confident that Kenyans will vote for him in 2022.

“2022 here we come. I am still in the race to be the fifth president of the Republic of Kenya. It is time for change,” the Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader said.

Mutua said he will push for the interests of Kenyans, fight poverty, tribalism, and corruption.

He commended the founding President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, retired president  Daniel Arap Moi, Mwai Kibaki, former Prime Minister  Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta for spearheading the country’s democracy.

Mutua is among the top politicians who have declared their interests in succeeding President Kenyatta.

The Machakos county boss says he is the  right person to succeed Kenyatta in 2022.

Mutua has ruled out shelving his bid for Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka or anyone.

A section of Kamba politicians is piling pressure on Mutua to quit the presidential race in support of Kalonzo.
