Deputy President William Ruto has been given an assurance ahead of 2022 polls, with Kitutu Masaba MP Shadrack Mose accusing a clique of individuals of frustrating Tangatanga leaders in their bid to back the DP.
At Nyamira on Friday, the first time MP claimed that unmentioned people were keen to block them from supporting DP William Ruto.
Coincidentally, his claims came after it emerged that Nyamira County Commissioner Amos Mariba and his entire team snubbed the DP's trip.
"We shall follow you even to the bushes. There are those who are blocking and intimidating us because we are supporting you but I want to assure them that we will not relent," he said.
He took a swipe at the provincial administration officials, accusing them of being used by some powerful people to frustrate the DP from ascending to power.
"And even when you were coming, some people absconded duty and took off. They are no where to be seen. Let them know that whether they attend or not, you shall win eventually," he said.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i cancelled his Friday's trip to Nyamira which coincided with that of Dr Ruto. It's now clear why he called off the trip.
The powerful minister is said to be at loggerheads with the DP even though he has remained mum about it. He ceased to attend Dr Ruto's rallies.
