The county boss on Thursday appointed Aguko Juma as the new acting County Executive for Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives.

He takes over in an interim capacity from Carlius Ademba who resigned from the position on Monday citing frustrations.

In a press statement through his Director of Communication Juma Kaluoch, the county boss assured county residents that the county will continue delivering proper services to them.

"The governor appreciates Mr Ademba for the services he rendered to the people of Homa Bay in the capacity as a CEC Member,” read the statement.

Ademba attributed his resignation to cartels who have been hindering his operations in his former capacity, allegations that have been rubbished by Awiti who now wants him to expose the cartels.

The changes come barely three weeks after Awiti survived a petition challenging his August 8, 2017 reelection.
