The Garissa MP says that claims that he is running away from DP Ruto are pure propaganda.

According to Duale, he is in good terms with DP Ruto and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking to journalists in Garissa Town on Monday, Duale lashed out at a section of media outlets and political analysts, accusing them of spreading propaganda.

He said that his relationship with the President and his Deputy cannot be compromised.

“I am the voice of the Jubilee Party in the National Assembly and as such, I have an obligation to be in good terms with both the president and his deputy for the government agenda to be realised,” he said.

Duale stated that he will not be dragged into propaganda politics, adding that his focus is on pushing the Jubilee agenda in Parliament.

The MP asked his supporters to ignore propaganda and instead support the Jubilee government development agenda.

Duale said that 2022 politics will be played when the time comes.

“Right now our focus as the government is on fulfilling the promises we made to Kenyans,” the vocal Garissa lawmaker added.

Duale’s silence on the rifts experienced in Jubilee Party recently had been questioned with some people wondering whether he could have abandoned DP Ruto.

The Garissa MP is among DP Ruto’s close political allies.

Political pundits argue that Duale is likely to lead DP Ruto’s 2022 presidential campaigns.
