Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has said that Deputy President William Ruto is not fit for presidency. The second term county boss who spoke in Butala, Busia County on Friday, said that Ruto has bad integrity to become a president.
He also revealed that ODM leader Raila Odinga, who has joined President Uhuru Kenyatta in the building bridges initiative, asked him and other leaders from the opposition to ensure that the second in command does not ascend to power in 2022.
Joho, who is also the deputy party leader of ODM, said that he is loyal to Odinga, adding that he never goes against his word as far as politics is concerned.
“I am extremely against the presidential bid of Ruto, this country cannot be led by someone like Ruto because of his bad integrity,” he told residents of Butula.
The governor also said that the nation will witness a massive loss of public resources if corrupt leaders are allowed to take over government posts.
