This has since landed the nation into anxiety, with both leaders and Kenyans keen to find out who he is thinking about and the qualities and characteristics he is searching for.

The Luo Nyanza region, however, seems indifferent and the DP should actually consider picking a leader from the region to deputize him in the race to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The best person in this case would be Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyongo, whose experience is needed near the seat of power and if well used, can change the nation for the better and for good.

With Nyong’o beside him, Ruto will have portrayed himself as a person who does not hold grudges, considering that the Luo Nation has been against him all along, due to his attacks on opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Consequently, he will have succeeded in convincing the nation that he remains a good hearted person, a characteristic that either real or faked will attract more people to his side.

Also, judging by Nyong’o’s good job during his tenure as Health cabinet minister and the current progress in Kisumu, including cleanliness, he will take that to the national level, bettering the nation.

Also, this way, Ruto will be sure of the Luo vote as they will have a more solid reason to vote him unlike opposition leader Raila Odinga who has failed to deliver despite the region remaining glued to him.

Considering that he is already assured of the Rift Valley and Central Kenya  votes, he will have brought on board a new region which currently seems marginalized, which is a good impression.

This way, he will also break the tribal sequence that will continue If he continues with the current cycle.
