Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has once again reiterated his support for Imran Okoth as the best bet ahead of the looming Kibra parliamentary by-elections.
Imran is seeking to fill the vacancy left after the death of his brother Ken Okoth who succumbed to cancer in July, on the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket.
Speaking on Sunday, Owino, also an ODM member, endorsed Imran, dismissing unnamed political tourists whom he claimed are out to investigate with the lives of Kibra residents.
He termed him the best man to fulfil Ken's dreams for Kibra residents, on grounds that he served well alongside Ken before his departure.
"I firmly believe that Imran is the best man for the job. He had been overseeing the constituency and was part and parcel of the good work Kenn started.
"Kibra deserves a leader who knows and understands its challenges. Political tourists have no place experimenting with the lives of the people of Kibra," he wrote on Facebook.
Also in the race is Jubilee Party candidate McDonald Mariga who has been under bashing from the ODM fraternity over claims of being a Deputy President William Ruto political project.
Amani National Congress (ANC) candidate Eliud Owalo and Ford Kenya's Khamisi Butichi arw also among the competitors warming up for the mini poll.
