The Kenyan Champions were sunk by Abderrahmane Yousfi's 9th-minute goal in the return leg played at Stade du 5 Juillet in Algiers.

The early goal didn't dampen Gor players' morale as they gave a spirited fight in search for an equalizer, even though chances were far between in the first half.

They thought to have achieved this fete 14 minutes into the second half when Ugandan defender Shafiq Batambuze nodded home from a corner chipped in by Francis Kahata.

However, match referee ruled out the goal, saying the Ugandan had fouled Hussein's custodian Gaya Merbah.

The loss means Gor have gone without a win while on the road since 2009, and throws Group D wide open, as they must win a match and at least draw in their last two remaining fixtures; on 10th match against Zamalek and later when they host Petro Atlético Luanda; if they need to assure themselves a qualification berth.

Meanwhile, NA Hussein Dey go on top with 7 points while Gor are second though, a point shy of the Algiers.

Zamalek comes third with 5 points after narrowly edging out Petro Atlético Luanda, 0 - 1 on Sunday, in Luanda; thanks to Hamid Ahaddad lone goal.

Petro trail Group D with 4 points.
