“First Lady Margaret Kenyatta arrives at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA where she will be attending the 63rd Session of the Commission on the Status of Women,” said State House.
Kenyatta has been at the forefront in the protection of fundamental rights. She believes there is more that needs to be done to make the world a better place.
According to Margaret, Gender inequality still remains one of the aspects of major concern in the world even as humanitarian groups fight for women’s right.
“She said gender parity is now a dominant issue of many national social protection systems globally and requires all stakeholders to play a role in resolving the issues of concern,” said State House.
Margaret is among the faces that have shaped this nation through different programmes.
She has won the hearts of many Kenyans through the Beyond Zero campaigns since President Uhuru Kenyatta rose to power in 2013.
