Ex-Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has faulted Kalonzo for ignoring his advice before the 2017 general elections.

Muthama alleged that former Kitui Senator David Musila could be the county's governor instead of Narc leader Charity Ngilu, who has joined the fight to kick Kalonzo out of Ukambani leadership.

He revealed that Kalonzo asked him to stop attacking Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana, who has now turned out to be his greatest threat in the region after joining hands with his worst enemy, Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader, and Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua.

“If it were not for Kalonzo to push me to allow you to vie for the seat yet I knew you were not competent, you wouldn’t be the governor," Muthama said in reference to Kibwana who doubles as Wiper party's national chairman.

Before the elections, Musila and other defectors from Wiper accused Kalonzo of mismanaging the party's affairs.

They claimed Kalonzo had dictatorial tendencies that led to cracks in the party.

Kalonzo is now facing one of the hardest times in his career after his allies turned against him to team up with his political rivals.
