Sometimes it's difficult to imagine that somebody can abandon streets and raise rapidly in Kenya's patriarchal politics but to Sylvanus Osoro, he is a living example.
The 32-year-old South Mugirango MP once lived in the streets of Nairobi before being rescued to continue with her education.
With his parents dying when he was barely 10, Osoro, a KNC MP, recalled in an interview who life was unforgiving.
"Sometimes I don't really care about these cases (court). I have been through hell before and it is God who has brought me this far.
"Meeting the likes of Raila Odinga and William Ruto is something I never imagined in my life. It is such a blessing," he had said in an interview.
And with 2022 fast approaching, DP Ruto has identified him as his main point-man from Gusii region and the two have visited the region twice.
With the region having a population of 1 million, Osoro has been the intermediary between local leaders and the DP due to his role as leading agent.
Ruto overlooked veteran politicians among them Walter Nyambati, Jimmy Angwenyi, Chris Obure and many more for the youthful MP and has traversed the country with him several times.
