While speaking in Mombasa on Wednesday after his meeting with a group of MCAs from the region, in a meeting that was also attended by Kilifi County Chief Amason Kingi, Joho claimed that leaders who are alwalways ready to support others have no business being in politics.

"Why do we underrate ourselves yet we have opportunity? Some even think that they are not capable. If you think that you have no potential, I tell you, I have it,"Joho said.

"If you are in politics with no ambitions, my friend, you have no business being in politics", he added.

Joho's comment comes at a time the Coast region is on the Deputy President William Ruto's political radar with Kenya's number two capitalizing o the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila to springboard his political ambitions.

Malindi MP Aisha Aisha Jumwa and her Msambweni counterpart Suleiman Dori have emerged as the DP's foot soldiers in his bid to swing the region into the Jubilee Party formation.
