Embattled National Resistance Movement (NRM) self-styled General Miguna Miguna now says that he is ready and willing to return to Kenya.

In a phone interview on KTN News Saturday, Miguna who was speaking from Dubai where he has since been deported to, however, maintained that he must be assured of his safety before heading back.

The firebrand barrister maintained that he is a legitimate Kenyan citizen and is willing to take a flight back should he be assured that he will not be brutalized upon landing.

"They have taken away my documents which I badly need. The Kenyan authorities must also assure me of my safely and ensure that I am not brutalized and harassed as was the case before," he said.

He also took a swipe at the Jubilee government, accusing President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto of presiding over his woes.

Miguna alleged that the two are unhappy with his regular condemnation of their leadership, hence their move to order for his mistreatment.

"The problem in Kenya is that there are people who think they are entitled to leadership and are unwilling to entertain anybody considered a threat to their leadership, I am being victimized for contravening that," said Miguna.

The immigration department has, however, maintained that the outspoken lawyer ceased being a Kenyan citizen upon securing a Canadian citizenship, saying that he must reapply to acquire his nationality.

Miguna and his lawyers have, on the other hand, rubbished that, claiming that its a plot by the state to tame his political activities.
