Senate Leader of Majority Kipchumba Murkomen has disowned being one of the key people who are behind Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 political ambitions.
This is after a local daily named him as one of Ruto’s new team of key confidants alongside the Leader of Majority in the National Assembly Aden Duale, National Assembly Deputy Speaker Moses Cheloti, Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot among other influential people in the government.
According to the daily, Ruto's ‘kitchen Cabinet’ was formed earlier this year to ensure that his political decisions and plans are healthy and valid.
However, the Elgeyo Marakwet Senator on Friday responded to the story which he termed as mere propaganda.
In a tweet, Murkomen said that this is as a way to raise political conversations with an aim to bring about political wars which he is not ready for.
He further termed Ruto as smart and his own master who plays his political game correctly.
For a long time, Murkomen has been known to be a die-hard jubilee politician who has a great influence in the Rift Valley region.
Jubilee has been facing in-house wrangles which have left the 2022 presidential seat in disarray as various politicians have denied any likelihood of a political debt.
