Commissioners Margaret Mwachanya and Connie Nkatha on Wednesday made a return to the commission headquarters seeking to reassume their duties 4 months after resigning.

However, in an interview on Radio Jambo on Saturday, Aladwa maintained that the two cannot be allowed to randomly exit and return to the commission, maintaining that the nation no longer needs them.

‘’Hao commissioner vile walienda wasirudi, waende kabisa kwa sababu hatuna uchaguzi yoyote sasa (they cannot come back, we nolonger need them),’’ said the former Nairobi City Council Mayor.

He vowed to lead a mega peaceful demonstration in Nairobi this coming week should the two be allowed to regain their former positions.

Aladwa further said that he will seek his opposition’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and President Uhuru Kenyatta’s blessings to lead the demonstration.

‘’Wakirudi nitaongoza maandamano kubwa sana ambayo haijawahi onekana wiki ijayo na nitamwomba Rais ruhusa (should they be allowed back, I will seek the President’s permission to lead one of the biggest demonstrations in Nairobi next week),’’ he added.

The two who resigned in April via a press conference said that they were at the Anniversary Towers to 'see' IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati.
