Wamalwa was speaking on Monday at Gusii Stadium said the corrupt governors will not be tolerated.

"Public funds sent to counties must be utilised well. Any governors who will think they will be spared after misusing public money are daydreaming. Corruption is illegal and punishable by the law and any governor caught engaging in corruption will face the full force of the law," he said.

Wamalwa called on all 47 County MCAs not to condone governors engaging in dubious dealings and theft of public resources.

"The electorates have elected MCAs who must represent them well at the county assemblies. Governors should not be given space to steal public money meant for development," he noted.

He urged elected leaders to shun divisive politics and work around the clock to offer quality services to the electorates.

Wamalwa challenged Kenyans to be vigilant and shun leaders who will be out to divide them across political lines saying the country has moved on and the economy has grown after the historic handshake between NASA leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The Cabinet secretary said political losers during the 2018 polls should join hands with winners to serve the electorates.
